I’m running way behind on certain posts and this is definitely one of them. Regardless, here are some of our shots from Glow in Santa Monica by the pier this year. It’s really just a bunch of people brown bagging out on the beach checking out some crazy art instillations set up in the sand and digging the glow from the ferris wheel and roller coaster on the pier.
I’ve recently gotten board with my normal coffee routine and have been trying to scope out some new joints. So my favorite this week is definitely Amelia’s Cafe on Main Street Santa Monica. It’s just a few blocks north of the Undefeated shop and the people are hella nice. On top of that, the coffee is bomb, they don’t allow you to use computers inside and I think it is the owner/owner’s son who drives hauls in this super sick, super rat, pinstriped, 1950 Ford. Not only did he attend “The Gentleman School” (it says so on the door), dude won’t hesitate to ask customers to plug the meter on his truck while they wait for their order, because he is a gentleman. Gentleman don’t let there meters expire. They have other people put money in them.
These shots where taken a little while ago when the weather was first starting to get nice on the west side. It still has been a bit on the cool side these days but none the less, it’s supposed to be warm here this memorial day weekend and I got a feeling it’s going to be crazy. I hope it is anyway. I’ve been busting my ass lately getting the site all squared away, getting shirts all in order, shot, on the online shop, etc. I’m ready to just chill around Venice for three days straight. We’re not there yet… but it is just over the horizon and I can’t wait.
