I never got around to posting these pics from our Memorial weekend camping trip up to Lake Pyramid. It’s always good to get away from L.A. even if it is just for a couple days, to just chill with good friends and take in the scenery. Speaking of scenery, you gotta love D.Tea from Venice Racket in his super authentic, union approved, American flag suspenders. Although the water was a bit too cold for warm blood, we still got to soak up some rays and hike around a bit. Campfires, booze, blunts and nature. I love America.

Ink N Iron is always one of my favorite events. When we talk say “Respect the Trade”, Ink N Iron truely incorporates three amazing trades with remarkable examples of each. Tattooing, Custom Car Building and Music. That’s what the scene is at Ink N Iron and there is a bunch of it. You couldn’t image the amount of detail and craft that goes into each and everyone of the cars and tattoos. People from all over the world flock to hang out in a parking lot and a stuffy run down ship for the love of Ink and Iron. If you get the chance to go, I highly recommend it. Just be prepared to stand in line for a few hours. And by be prepared, I mean throw a 12 pack in a back pack and bring a bottle of sunscreen.

Obviously I can’t post all the picks otherwise you’ld be scrolling for days but feast your eyes on a few of my favs from the weekend. If you didn’t know, I’m an El Camino fanatic so I’m like a fat kid in a super fat candy store when I stumbled across Elcos like the killer green and white one you’ll see below. We where also glad to see our neighbors from the Devils Car Club representing Venice. They have got a super sick collection and are simply great guys. Besides all of the eye candy (cars, tats and pin up chicks) it was great hanging out with the girls and my homie D.Tea from VeniceRacket.com

OH… and M-CAT, you owe me a car cleaning for your drunken kettle corn shenanigans. HA!

I’m so pissed about this situation. Not “The Situation” pictured in the previous post, but the oil pouring, non-fixing, animal killing, costal devastating, economic & social crisis situation sponsored by BP. You know what’s happening so I’m not going to repeat all the details. I’m simply going to pass along a good message from my homies back in the ATL. The Krog Street tunnel is a hot spot for graffiti and street art in Atlanta and is always evolving. As you will see in this video, it evolves from a festival & BBQ promo to a mind reading bridge that can post what is on everyones minds as they chug by. Thanks B-rad & C. You guys are awesome! I feel horrible for everyone directly effected by this disaster in the Gulf and for all of us who don’t know how this is going to effect us in the future. FU-BP!

Today is day 56.

More like “A” Situation. I don’t know what was funnier. I ran into Mike “The Situation” from MTV’s Jersey Shore, or that it was dark as shit outside and he still had those shades on? Actually… it’s that is was dark and he had those shades on. My friend Joe and I got some free tix to the 2010 MTV movie awards and bumped into dude and his crew. I guess it was the bucket of open bar whiskey in me that said I should get a picture with him so… there you have it.

The 7th annual Ink & Iron festival was this weekend at the Queen Mary in Long Beach CA. My buddy Bill and I rolled out Sunday to bask in the amazing custom hot rods, psycobilly tunes, pin-ups, booze and tattoos. The Southern California sun is always a plus for this sort of thing too. Obviously we had a great time, I managed to get out without another random tattoo and there was soooo much going on, I would suggest you check out the Ink & Iron website for the full details. The pics below are just a few shots from outside around the Queen Mary and then the main tattoo convention inside. It was quite a sight to see.
